We are very much aware of the controversy surrounding the Harry Potter series, as well as the eight feature films. When it comes to entertainment of any kind, be it Harry Potter or the latest video game craze, we encourage parents to evaluate every message based on biblical principles.
Our advice comes from verses such as Philippians 4:8 which says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.”
By taking this step, we think parents and children can learn to be discerning and select quality entertainment which does not conflict with their Christian values.
