David Green

David Green is the founder and CEO of Hobby Lobby, the largest privately-owned arts and crafts retailer in the world. He started the operation in 1972 with six hundred square feet of retail space located in north Oklahoma City. It was a retail outgrowth of Greco Products, a company David founded in 1970 by setting up shop in his garage and making miniature wooden picture frames. Hobby Lobby currently employs 32,000 workers company wide and operates more than 700 stores in a 47-state area. David is the co-author of two books, More Than a Hobby and Giving It All Away … and Getting It All Back Again. He and his wife, Barbara, have two sons and one daughter.
